HeartLife E3 Series (EP 9): Healing the Heart through the Mind-Body-Heart Connection
We are proud to continue E3: Engage, Educate, Empower, HeartLife's webinar series designed to connect lived experience with trusted clinical expertise, all centered on the topics that matter most to our community.
Managing our heart conditions can involve making changes to habits and behaviours to give our hearts the best chance to get stronger. During this webinar, we will explore how to tap into natural approaches for managing heart disease, high blood pressure, stress and other cardiovascular risk factors. Understanding the Mind-Body-Heart connection opens an understanding of how the body's self repair mechanisms can be used to reduce current and future risk.
Joy Overtveld is a congestive heart failure survivor with Atrial Fibrillation and has explored alternative approaches to heart health. She will share her lived experience of heart disease and the questions she has about natural approaches going forward.
Dr. Robert Schneider is an internationally recognized physician-scientist-educator and a leader in mind-body medicine and integrative medicine (combining traditional western medicine with safe, complementary therapies to treat the whole person). He is a specialist in preventive medicine and preventive cardiology and is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology. He will explore natural approaches to healing and managing heart disease.
The session will conclude with a moderated Q&A, giving participants the opportunity to ask questions and engage directly with the speakers.
Whether you are living with cardiovascular conditions, supporting someone who is, or looking to better understand your own heart health, this webinar offers education, insight, and empowerment you can take forward with confidence.
